Pro-Tuning the law continues – the latest by the Committee Tuning

The Commission IX, Having said that: Recently, With the Decree-Law 30 December 2008, n. 207, converted, with modifications, From Law 27 February 2009, n. 14, the Government has acted on the regulation of assessment of the eligibility requirements for circulation and approval of vehicles, referred to’Article 75 the highway code, in order to overcome the rigidities that characterized the legislation on the subject, with negative effects on the development of an industry that may be of major economic importance;
it is appropriate that the intervention might extend the rules dictated by’Article 78 of the road for changes on the construction of vehicles;
is also desirable that the revision of the rules mentioned above are guided by the principles of simplification of procedures, clear rules, Improving Safety, through the identification of a system subject to certification and testing centers and testing of components installed on vehicles or sets of components,
Commits the Government:
to take all appropriate action in order to discipline
changes of the construction vehicles that allow:
a) with respect to vehicles of categories L, E M1 N1 (two-and three-wheeled vehicles, four-wheeled vehicles with a capacity of up to a maximum of eight people and vehicles for transporting goods of mass less than 3,5 t), to achieve an overrun of the authorization from the manufacturer;
b) to predict, instead of clearance, a certification of compliance with the technical community, or, in the absence of such legislation, with the technical provisions laid down by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport;
c) the detection of certifiers, offering the necessary guarantees of reliability in terms of possession of the technical and professional skills and the independence organizational, economic and functional;
D) the identification of a designated, authorized by the Ministry, for the verification and testing of components installed on vehicles or sets of components.

Official presentation of the seventh edition of My Special Car Show
