Vredestein Ultrac Hundred is a tire for high-end segment. Respecting the tradition, Home Netherlands has given top priority to safety and the required characteristics in terms of environmental respect and an indication “SW” This side shows that the tire meets the most stringent European requirements on wet grip and noise.
Ultrac Hundred summer tire is a very light, Quiet and elegant able to ensure the highest level of comfort and excellent performance in all road conditions. The tire called Cento in reference to 100Anniversary Vredestein brand. The profile and the side were once again developed by Giugiaro who was able to give the tire a unique style and incisive.
Design, Security, Comfort
Giugiaro's philosophy behind the development of this new profile was “LESS is MORE“. This means that you have chosen a minimalist design, very stylish and very functional, by a dotted – longitudinal grooves in the two plants - which goes to underline the strong character. The speed code is Y (up to speed 300 km / h). For its peculiar characteristics, Ultrac Hundred is a tire for powerful cars, of style and comfort, born to travel long distances.
Special attention to the environment and quality of life
Numerous tests conducted on the noise (by rolling) dell'Ultrac Hundred ensure full compliance with today's tire with European standards which will come into force until 2012 (maximum noise level: 71 decibel). The tread compound has a unique (High Silica mix) absolutely devoid of polycyclic aromatic (PCA) and consists of 10 different types of rubber. In the laboratory and in tests on the track, This new tire has traveled millions of miles before getting the go-ahead from engineers Vredestein production so as to ensure, uncompromising, maximum security unit at the best possible performance.
Lightweight tire with low rolling resistance
Ultrac Hundred, compared to competitors products, was much lighter and offers a very low rolling resistance, which makes it quiet and cost-effective. This low resistance was obtained by the combined action of several factors:
1.A compound able to maintain its very low operating temperature
2.A profile developed ad hoc
3.The carvings in the central sulcus, able to effectively dispose of the heat.
4.Shoulders low and stable.
All this not only results in a decrease in rolling resistance but also better driving precision and reduced wear.
Efficient use of materials combined with a research devoted to excellence has enabled the Dutch house to make a tire capable of an extraordinary driving pleasure. The tread compound is designed to ensure a very low operating temperature while the carvings, at the central longitudinal grooves, provide an additional and constant cooling, even at high speeds. l’ wear that is registered with the passing of km is extremely slow and smooth, it provides travel long distances with a very high level of comfort and always constant.
